May 5, 2019 marked the 34th Annual “Run for the Zoo – And Walk With Us Too!” at the Albuquerque Zoo. This nonprofit event is so popular that it caps at 12,000 participants. Proceeds from the event support the Albuquerque Biopark, which includes the Zoo, Aquarium, Botanic Garden and Tingley Beach.
November 9, 2017 marked the opening night of the New Mexico Veteran Art Show. This non-profit organization is staffed by volunteer veterans and seeks to promote the artistic talents of military personnel, past and present, their spouses, and their children.
